I charge $95 a month per student. This entitles each student to a set number of
lessons based on the starting month and ending August 31, 2021. I will keep
track of the number of lessons each student has received and will provide the
number via email each month. Some months may have 5 lessons, other months may
have 2 lessons. The cost each month will always be $95 with the possible
exception of the summer months (see Summer Lessons below).

Students beginning in May, June, or July will be exempt from the subscription policy and will instead be charged $29 per lesson until the new term begins. No new students will begin in August. |
If the student does not reach the set number of lessons by August 31, 2021, I
will offer a refund or credit in the amount of $29 per lesson.
Summer Lessons
Summer lessons are the exception to the rule. If your child has reached their set number of lessons (based on the month that they begin)
and you would like to purchase more, I am happy to discuss adding
lessons in the schedule for a $29 charge per lesson. This will be billed in
addition to the $95 monthly lesson fee. The monthly plan must continue to be
paid through the end of August.
Materials Fees
Parents are also responsible for either purchasing or reimbursing any new book/music fees. New book
purchases will be discussed beforehand. I receive a slight discount at the
music store so when possible I will purchase the books and pass the discount price on to you. If we are still in an online environment, I will send you links to Amazon for the proper books.
New books are needed approximately every 4-6 months in the beginning, and cost
about $20-$25 each time. With the more advanced students the frequency of books
purchases decreases to about once a year but is slightly more expensive at $25-$30. If your child has an older sibling who has already begun piano lessons I
am happy to reuse their books (if they are at the appropriate age level) with
the exception of the Theory book which must be purchased new for every student.
Payment
Payment is due by the 7th of every month. The last week of each month I will
send a digital bill via email with the lesson dates for the upcoming month as
well as any book charges. For example, the September bill will be sent to each
parent the last week of August. Payment will then be due by September 7th. I
accept cash or checks. Most banks offer a bill pay service that will allow you
to send a check on the same date every month which is very convenient for all
parties. I highly recommend using the auto check service.
Discontinuing Lessons
If your child stops taking piano lessons during the term, the number of lessons
taken will be totaled and multiplied by $29 per lesson, then compared against
the amount paid. A refund will be issued or further payment will be needed.
Example: Suzie stops taking lesson after 4 months having taken 16 lessons.
- 16 lessons x $29 per lesson = $464
- 4 months x $95 per month = $380
- The parent still owes $84.
Example: Johnny stops taking lessons after 7 months having taken 22 lessons.
- 22 lessons x $29 per lesson = $638
- 7 months x $95 per month =$665
- The parent receives a $27 refund.
Please allow thirty days notice for termination of lessons.
