Students beginning in May, June, or July will be exempt from the subscription policy and will instead be charged $30/$45 per lesson until the new term begins. New students will not be accepted in August. If the student does not reach the set number of lessons by August 31, 2023, a refund or credit will be offered in the amount of $30/$45 per lesson.
Summer Lessons
If your child has reached their set number of lessons and you would like to purchase more, lessons can be added to the schedule for a $30/$45 charge per lesson. This will be billed in addition to the $100/$150 monthly lesson fee. The monthly plan must continue to be paid through the end of August.
Materials
Parents are also responsible for either purchasing or reimbursing any new book/music fees. New book purchases will be discussed beforehand. Where possible, Amazon links for the proper books will be sent to the parents. New books are needed approximately every 4-6 months in the beginning, and cost about $20-$25 each time. With the more advanced students the frequency of book purchases decreases to about once a year but is slightly more expensive at approximately $25-$30. If your child has an older sibling who has already begun piano lessons their books may be reused if they are at the appropriate age level, with the exception of the Theory book, which must be purchased new for every student.
Payment
Payment must be received by the 7th of every month. Digital bills will be sent the last week of every month. For example, the September bill will be sent to each parent the last week of August. Payment will then be due by September 7th. Cash, checks, Venmo, or Zelle are all accepted. Most banks offer a bill pay service that will allow you to schedule a payment on the same date every month. If you are using a mail-based service, please allow enough time for the payment to arrive by the 7th!
Late Fees
A $10 late fee will be charged if payment is received after the 7th of each month.
Discontinuing Lessons
If your child stops taking piano lessons during the term, the number of lessons taken will be totaled and multiplied by $30 per lesson, then compared against the amount paid. A refund will be issued or further payment will be needed.
Example: Suzie stops taking lesson after 4 months having taken 16 lessons.
16 lessons x $30 per lesson = $480
4 months x $100 per month = $400
The parent still owes $80.
Example: Johnny stops taking lessons after 7 months having taken 22 lessons.
22 lessons x $30 per lesson = $660
7 months x $100 per month = $700
The parent receives a $40 refund.
Please note: 30 days notice is require to discontinue lessons.
All pricing is effective September 1, 2022.
