+I have recently expanded my studio to include teaching lessons online using either Zoom or FaceTime. For the immediate future I will be teaching this way exclusively. This method has its own positives and negatives but it is an excellent way to continue connecting with my students while there is so much uncertainty.

Do I need to have a piano to start lessons?
Short answer - no. Longer answer - yes. Let me explain....
-Your child will need to have an instrument to practice on as soon as possible. It is absolutely fine if your child has an electric keyboard (full sized keys, not a tiny keyboard) to start with. Depending on their progress, however, they will eventually need a fully weighted 88 key instrument with pedals. When that time comes I am happy to help find what best fits your family, whether that is a digital piano or the traditional accoustic piano.
