##Student Government Restructured

Over the course of the last semester, Student Government at Mason has been restructured into a one-body system instead of a two-body system. The process was initiated by University Life staff, and four people were selected from each of the two main branches. This campaign is the only one that doesn't have a member of the Working Group on our ticket.

This restructure has fifty Representative Body seats, twenty of which are reserved, two per Academic College. Student groups are not centered in this restructure, and Johnston-Lincoln has a problem with that. Student Government should hold student engagement at the center, as the core of our institution.

So many facets of the restructure are unfinished. It's rushed. It needs reform. The Working Group in combination with University Life Staff have circumvented a referendum, which is normally required. Students should have the opportunity to vote on how Student Government works, and this is your opportunity.

When you look at the restructure, do you like what you see, or do you think it needs work?
